Mammalian cell technology and monoclonal antibodies

As we continue our speaker interview series from the 2013 BioProcess International Event, we turn to look at mammalian cell technology and monoclonal antibodies. Professor Michael Butler from the University of Manitoba joined us to look at some of the research he's focusing on in the field.

Highlights of his video interview include:
  • -His focus on glycosylation
  • -Relating antibodies to specific therapies
  • -How the commercial impact of biosimilars will impact the biopharmaceutical industry
  • -How to get drugs to communities at a lower costs

This year at BioProcess International, we will have a few presentations on mammalian cell technology including the presentation New Single-Use Solutions for Harvesting High Density Mammalian Cell Cultures at Cubic Meter Scale presented by Benjamin Minow, Ph.D., Director, Cell Culture Production Mid-Scale, Rentschler Biotechnologie GmbH, Germany. To find out more about this presentation and the rest or the agenda, download the brochure.
